Band Work

I’ve recently been working with a (reformed) Ragamuffin – a group of friends and musicians I’ve had the pleasure to work with on and off over nearly 30 years!! We have recorded a 5 track CD – Walk Across The World that will be available in June and this will be followed by a charity event at The Palace Theatre on June 30th – I’d love to see you there if you can make it.

I play in Time Will Tell, a Christian progressive rock band where I have played on the following releases There Is and Visionography. Also in the summer of 2009 I played drums on an EP by Neil Henson called “Live For You”. The latest project I’m involved in is a covers band U-Turn Also with Neil Henson. While most Sundays I play in a local church.

Avro

It has been my pleasure over the last four years to work with the extremely talented Andrew Watson and Georgie Gibbs at the Avro Viking Centre (Southend) on a number of projects written by the aforementioned Andrew and incorporating drums and percussion. The latest is a play about the 1st world war due to be performed this autumn (Dates to follow).

Band Mentoring

I am currently looking forward (again) to working with Sarah Goldsmith at Northwick Park Primary School, in – particular Mentoring the Year Five and Six Rock Band, the name seems to change year on year as the personnel changes – this year’s band have been excellent and enjoyed a fantastic gig at Cornelius Vermuyden School where they gave the Senior band (who featured two previous members) a run for their money!

Drum Kit Teaching

I occasionally turn my hand to Drum Kit teaching; I am delighted as my star pupil has now passed her Grade 2 and is working hard on her Grade 3!.
